This 12-fiber MPO to MPO trunk cable uses Type B polarity, the straight-through wiring in which fiber 1 of the first connector lands on fiber 12 of the second. It is the polarity used for the majority of parallel-optics links between switches and patch panels, and it is the assembly Huifiber ships most often for high-density 40G and 100G routes.
The cable is built on a 50/125 µm OM3 multimode fibre core with a bend-insensitive profile, jacketed in a flame-retardant LSZH or OFNR-rated outer sheath depending on the installation route. The MPO connectors use a precision-moulded ferrule with guide pins factory-set for the required polarity, and the fibre ribbon inside the cable is colour-coded to TIA-598-C so that position 1 through 12 can be identified without a breakout kit. Each end is polished and interferometrically inspected before the assembly is sealed.
Match the polarity to your link architecture before ordering: Type B for MPO-to-MPO trunks between patch panels, Type A or Type C where a breakout module or cassette sits at one end. Confirm whether your transceivers expect the 12-fibre or 24-fibre assignment, because 100G-SR4 and 40G-SR4 use the first eight or four positions respectively and leave the rest unused, while 100G-SR10 uses all twelve. For runs that leave the cabinet, specify an OFNR or LSZH jacket so the trunk meets the riser or plenum requirement of the route.
Can you supply this assembly in custom lengths and colours? Yes. Huifiber builds patch cords to order in any length from 0.5 m to 50 m, with a choice of jacket colour, boot type and printing. Send us the connector pair, fiber type and length and we will confirm the price within 48 hours.
Do you provide test reports? Yes. Every batch ships with insertion loss and return loss test data, and we can supply an interferometric end-face report for single-mode assemblies on request.
What is the minimum order quantity? Standard configurations ship from 100 pieces. Mixed-model orders can be combined to reach the MOQ.

High-density 12-fiber MPO to MPO OM3 multimode trunk cable with Type B polarity & OFNP plenum jacket. Features low IL ≤0.35dB & bend-insensitive fiber.
Yes. Huifiber supplies cable under the buyer's own brand as well as under the Huifiber brand. Fibre count, jacket material, jacket print, drum marking, drum length, packaging and datasheet layout can all be produced to the customer's requirement, and the engineering team can work from a customer specification or adapt an existing construction to a new route requirement.
Every production batch is tested before it leaves the plant in Dongguan. Attenuation and geometry are measured on OTDR and optical bench equipment, and mechanical performance is verified against the datasheet for the construction. A factory test report is issued with each shipment, so an incoming inspection can be checked against the same numbers.
Send the fibre count and fibre type, the jacket material or fire rating, the route length or span and the drum length you need, the destination port or country, and any certification or test-report requirement. With those details the sales engineer can confirm the construction and return a quotation with an indicative lead time.
