The GYXTC8Y aerial cable is a figure-8 self-supporting build: a jelly-filled central loose tube carries the 250 µm fibers, and a 1x7 stranded steel messenger is bonded alongside the cable core in the classic 8-shape profile.
The messenger carries all the aerial loads, so the cable core itself stays small and light: 4.0x7.5 mm at 34 kg/km for the 6 and 12 fiber builds, 4.8x9.0 mm at 40 kg/km for 24 fibers. Tensile ratings of 500/1000 N cover short and medium FTTx spans on existing poles.
GYXTC8Y is the drop-oriented sibling of the GYTC8S and GYXTC8S figure-8 cables already on this site: same figure-8 installation logic, lighter core for short spans and last-drop aerial runs. Bending radii of 10D/20D keep the cable friendly at pole attachments and closures.
Product Features
Integrated messenger — 1x7 stranded steel wire carries the aerial loads; no separate support strand needed.
Light figure-8 core — 34-40 kg/km keeps pole loading low on FTTx spans.
Crush protection — PSP tape around the tube resists lateral loads after installation.
Water blocking — jelly-filled tube blocks longitudinal water ingress at closures.
Fast aerial install — figure-8 profile clamps directly to pole hardware in one pass.
Small counts, short spans — 6-24 fibers sized for last-drop and campus aerial routes.
Typical Applications
Last-drop aerial runs from pole to building in FTTx rollouts; short campus aerial spans between cabinets; temporary event links that must be installed and removed quickly; and pole lines where a separate support strand would double the hardware cost.
Selection and ordering
Order by fiber count (6-24) and span length. Send the pole spacing, ice and wind class so the messenger size matches the span; pre-slotted hardware kits and pre-connectorized ends are available on request.
Packaging, delivery and support
Cables are supplied on standard wooden reels (2530, 4056 or 610 types) with embossed meter marks every meter and desiccant-packed ends; GYXTC8Y reel lengths follow the quotation and can be split to match splice-point spacing. Every reel ships with a factory test report covering attenuation, OTDR traces and geometric checks. As a Dongguan factory with 20,000+ m2 of production space we support OEM and ODM branding, neutral packaging, third-party inspection before loading, and consolidation with the patch cords, splitters and ODF hardware on this site in one container. Sample lengths are available for qualification, and our engineers review pulling plans, splice schedules and closure layouts free of charge before dispatch. Typical lead time is two to three weeks for standard builds and four to five weeks for span-engineered or OEM-branded orders, with photos and loading records sent before every container leaves the factory.

GYXTC8Y figure-8 self-supporting cable: 6-24 fibers, 4.0x7.5-4.8x9.0 mm, 500/1000 N, 1x7 steel messenger, 10D/20D for aerial FTTx spans.
Yes. Huifiber supplies cable under the buyer's own brand as well as under the Huifiber brand. Fibre count, jacket material, jacket print, drum marking, drum length, packaging and datasheet layout can all be produced to the customer's requirement, and the engineering team can work from a customer specification or adapt an existing construction to a new route requirement.
Every production batch is tested before it leaves the plant in Dongguan. Attenuation and geometry are measured on OTDR and optical bench equipment, and mechanical performance is verified against the datasheet for the construction. A factory test report is issued with each shipment, so an incoming inspection can be checked against the same numbers.
Send the fibre count and fibre type, the jacket material or fire rating, the route length or span and the drum length you need, the destination port or country, and any certification or test-report requirement. With those details the sales engineer can confirm the construction and return a quotation with an indicative lead time.
