The GYXTW outdoor fiber optic cable is a central loose tube design: 250 µm single-mode or multimode fibers sit in a high-modulus loose tube filled with water-blocking compound.
A double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) is wrapped around the tube with water-blocking material in between, two parallel phosphated steel wires are placed on both sides, and a black PE sheath is extruded. The steel wires carry the pulling loads; the PSP tape adds crush resistance and rodent protection while keeping the cable small and light.
GYXTW is the classic small-count armored build for duct and aerial conduits: one tube, one armor layer, two strength wires. It is the natural upgrade path from GYXTY when a route needs crush protection, and it complies with the YD/T 769 telecommunications industry standard.
Product Features
Tensile strength — two parallel phosphated steel wires carry the pulling loads on duct and aerial-conduit installs.
Crush and rodent protection — the double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) resists lateral loads and rodent attack.
Small diameter, light weight — compact central-tube core keeps the cable easy to pull through occupied ducts.
Water blocking — water-blocking material between tube and tape blocks longitudinal ingress.
Hydrolysis resistance — loose tube material keeps its strength in damp environments.
Fiber protection — tube filling jelly cushions the fibers through installation bends.
Typical Applications
FTTx feeder and distribution runs in duct; building-entry routes that pass through rodent-exposed risers; small-count links between cabinets where a stranded core would be oversized; and any duct route that wants GYXTS-level protection with two parallel steel wires for easier pulling.
Selection and ordering
Order by fiber count (4-24), build class (8.0 mm standard or 9.0 mm heavy-duty with 1000/3000 N crush) and fiber type. Tell us the duct length and pulling points so the reel and strength margins match; LSZH sheath and pre-connectorized ends are available on request.
Packaging, delivery and support
Cables are supplied on standard wooden reels (2530, 4056 or 610 types) with embossed meter marks every meter and desiccant-packed ends; GYXTW reel lengths follow the quotation and can be split to match splice-point spacing. Every reel ships with a factory test report covering attenuation, OTDR traces and geometric checks. As a Dongguan factory with 20,000+ m2 of production space we support OEM and ODM branding, neutral packaging, third-party inspection before loading, and consolidation with the patch cords, splitters and ODF hardware on this site in one container. Sample lengths are available for qualification, and our engineers review pulling plans, splice schedules and closure layouts free of charge before dispatch. Typical lead time is two to three weeks for standard builds and four to five weeks for span-engineered or OEM-branded orders, with photos and loading records sent before every container leaves the factory.

Yes. Huifiber supplies cable under the buyer's own brand as well as under the Huifiber brand. Fibre count, jacket material, jacket print, drum marking, drum length, packaging and datasheet layout can all be produced to the customer's requirement, and the engineering team can work from a customer specification or adapt an existing construction to a new route requirement.
Every production batch is tested before it leaves the plant in Dongguan. Attenuation and geometry are measured on OTDR and optical bench equipment, and mechanical performance is verified against the datasheet for the construction. A factory test report is issued with each shipment, so an incoming inspection can be checked against the same numbers.
Send the fibre count and fibre type, the jacket material or fire rating, the route length or span and the drum length you need, the destination port or country, and any certification or test-report requirement. With those details the sales engineer can confirm the construction and return a quotation with an indicative lead time.
