Central Loose Tube Cables

  • GYXTW53 Double Armoured Unitube Cable for Direct Burial

The GYXTW53 outdoor fiber optic cable keeps the compact central-tube core of GYXTW and doubles the armor: 250 µm fibers sit in a jelly-filled loose tube wrapped with a first PSP steel tape and a PE inner sheath, then a second PSP tape layer and a PE outer sheath.

Two parallel phosphated steel wires still carry the tensile loads. The double armor gives markedly higher crush and corrosion resistance than the single-tape GYXTW, which makes GYXTW53 the right choice for direct-buried and rodent-heavy routes that still want a central-tube footprint instead of a full stranded core.

GYXTW53 completes the central-tube family on this site: GYXTY for light duty, GYXTS for single-tape duct routes, GYXTW for parallel-wire builds, and GYXTW53 where two armor layers are required. The cable complies with the YD/T 769 telecommunications industry standard.

Product Features

Double armor — two PSP steel tape layers give high crush resistance and corrosion protection.

Tensile strength — two parallel phosphated steel wires carry the installation pulling loads.

Rodent protection — the doubled steel tape build resists rodent attack on buried sections.

Compact core — central tube construction keeps the cable small despite the double armor.

Water blocking — water-blocking material between tube and both tape layers stops longitudinal ingress.

Easy installation — small diameter and light weight keep pulling and splicing straightforward.

Typical Applications

Direct-buried sections without conduit; duct-to-buried transitions where the cable leaves protection for exposed runs; rodent-heavy corridors such as gardens, farms and green belts; and high-value routes where two armor layers are specified by the network owner.

Selection and ordering

Order by fiber count (2-48), sheath (PE standard or AT for corrosive soils) and fiber type. Quote the burial depth and soil conditions so the armor class matches; pre-connectorized ends and shortened reels are available on request.

Packaging, delivery and support

Cables are supplied on standard wooden reels (2530, 4056 or 610 types) with embossed meter marks every meter and desiccant-packed ends; GYXTW53 reel lengths follow the quotation and can be split to match splice-point spacing. Every reel ships with a factory test report covering attenuation, OTDR traces and geometric checks. As a Dongguan factory with 20,000+ m2 of production space we support OEM and ODM branding, neutral packaging, third-party inspection before loading, and consolidation with the patch cords, splitters and ODF hardware on this site in one container. Sample lengths are available for qualification, and our engineers review pulling plans, splice schedules and closure layouts free of charge before dispatch. Typical lead time is two to three weeks for standard builds and four to five weeks for span-engineered or OEM-branded orders, with photos and loading records sent before every container leaves the factory.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the GYXTW53 Double Armored Central Tube Cable | Huifiber used for?

GYXTW53 double-armored central tube cable: dual PSP layers, 2-48 fibers, 1000/1500 N, 10D/20D, PE or AT sheath option, YD/T 769.

Can Huifiber customise the GYXTW53 Double Armored Central Tube Cable | Huifiber?

Yes. Huifiber supplies cable under the buyer's own brand as well as under the Huifiber brand. Fibre count, jacket material, jacket print, drum marking, drum length, packaging and datasheet layout can all be produced to the customer's requirement, and the engineering team can work from a customer specification or adapt an existing construction to a new route requirement.

How is the GYXTW53 Double Armored Central Tube Cable | Huifiber tested before shipment?

Every production batch is tested before it leaves the plant in Dongguan. Attenuation and geometry are measured on OTDR and optical bench equipment, and mechanical performance is verified against the datasheet for the construction. A factory test report is issued with each shipment, so an incoming inspection can be checked against the same numbers.

What should I send for a GYXTW53 Double Armored Central Tube Cable | Huifiber quotation?

Send the fibre count and fibre type, the jacket material or fire rating, the route length or span and the drum length you need, the destination port or country, and any certification or test-report requirement. With those details the sales engineer can confirm the construction and return a quotation with an indicative lead time.
