Direct Buried Cable

  • GYTA53 Double Sheath Double Armour Underground Cable

Product Description

The structure of GYTA53 optical cable is formed by encasing $250 ext{ }\mu ext{m}$ optical

fibers into loose tubes made of high-modulus material, filled with a waterproof compound.

The center of the cable core is a metallic central strength member; for certain fiber counts,

a layer of Polyethylene (PE) is extruded over the metallic strength member. Loose tubes and

filler rods are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact, circular cable core.

Interstices within the core are filled with water-blocking compound. An Aluminum Polyethylene

Laminate (APL) tape is longitudinally applied before extruding a PE inner sheath. Finally,

double-sided coated corrugated steel tape (PSP) is longitudinally applied and finished with

a Polyethylene (PE) outer sheath.

Product Features

Excellent Mechanical & Temperature Performance: Superior physical strength and reliable stability

across wide temperature operating ranges.

Anti-Shrinkage Cable Structure: Specially designed compact cable structure effectively prevents

loose tube retraction.

Hydrolysis-Resistant Loose Tube: High-strength loose tube material exhibits excellent resistance

to hydrolysis and water degradation.

Good Crush Resistance & Flexibility: Double-armored construction provides outstanding crush load

resistance while maintaining installation flexibility.

Special Tube Jelly Protection: Loose tubes are filled with special compound to provide critical,

long-term protection for optical fibers.

Customizable Flame-Retardant Version: Flame-retardant GYTZA53 product version is available upon custom request.

Installation limits for this cable — pulling tension, bend radius and acceptance tests — are tabulated in our fiber optic cable installation guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Stranded Loose Tube Optical Cable with Heavy-Duty Armor (GYTA53) used for?

Huifiber GYTA53 is a double-sheathed, heavy-duty armored optical cable with APL and corrugated steel tape (PSP), providing outstanding crush resistance.

Can Huifiber customise the Stranded Loose Tube Optical Cable with Heavy-Duty Armor (GYTA53)?

Yes. Huifiber supplies cable under the buyer's own brand as well as under the Huifiber brand. Fibre count, jacket material, jacket print, drum marking, drum length, packaging and datasheet layout can all be produced to the customer's requirement, and the engineering team can work from a customer specification or adapt an existing construction to a new route requirement.

How is the Stranded Loose Tube Optical Cable with Heavy-Duty Armor (GYTA53) tested before shipment?

Every production batch is tested before it leaves the plant in Dongguan. Attenuation and geometry are measured on OTDR and optical bench equipment, and mechanical performance is verified against the datasheet for the construction. A factory test report is issued with each shipment, so an incoming inspection can be checked against the same numbers.

What should I send for a Stranded Loose Tube Optical Cable with Heavy-Duty Armor (GYTA53) quotation?

Send the fibre count and fibre type, the jacket material or fire rating, the route length or span and the drum length you need, the destination port or country, and any certification or test-report requirement. With those details the sales engineer can confirm the construction and return a quotation with an indicative lead time.
