The GYTA/S outdoor fiber optic cable is a stranded loose tube design: 250 µm single-mode or multimode fibers are housed in high-modulus loose tubes filled with water-blocking compound, stranded around a metal central strength member into a compact round core.
Double-sided plastic-coated aluminum tape (APL) or steel tape (PSP) is longitudinally wrapped around the core and a black polyethylene (PE) sheath is extruded over it. The APL variant gives a lighter GYTA-style build for duct installation, while the PSP variant gives the GYTS-style crush and rodent performance for harsher routes.
GYTA/S sits between the basic GYTA and the heavy GYTA53 in the portfolio: same stranded core flexibility, one armor layer for routes that need more lateral protection than a plain APL cable but not a full double-sheath build. The cable complies with the YD/T 901 and IEC 60794-1 standards.
Product Features
Compact stranded core — tightly designed structure effectively prevents tube shrinkage and keeps bending performance stable.
Crush resistance — the APL or PSP tape layer resists lateral crush loads on duct and buried routes.
Dual sheath option — choose the GYTA-style APL build or the GYTS-style PSP build for the same fiber counts.
Hydrolysis resistance — high-modulus loose tube material keeps its mechanical margin in damp environments.
Water blocking — interstices and tubes are filled with water-blocking compound to stop longitudinal ingress.
Flame-retardant option — a GYTZA/S flame-retardant version is available on request.
Typical Applications
Urban and campus duct rings where a plain GYTA build needs extra crush margin; intercity routes shared between GYTA-style APL sections and GYTS-style PSP sections; access feeder runs that want one stranded-core construction across mixed sheath demands; and any route where a future upgrade from APL to PSP should not change splicing plans.
Selection and ordering
Order by fiber count (4-144), sheath family (APL for GYTA-style or PSP for GYTS-style) and fiber type (G.652D single-mode or OM1-OM5 multimode). Print the count, sheath choice and reel length on the quotation; pre-connectorized ends and special reel sizes are available on request.
Packaging, delivery and support
Cables are supplied on standard wooden reels (2530, 4056 or 610 types) with embossed meter marks every meter and desiccant-packed ends; GYTA/S reel lengths follow the quotation and can be split to match splice-point spacing. Every reel ships with a factory test report covering attenuation, OTDR traces and geometric checks. As a Dongguan factory with 20,000+ m2 of production space we support OEM and ODM branding, neutral packaging, third-party inspection before loading, and consolidation with the patch cords, splitters and ODF hardware on this site in one container. Sample lengths are available for qualification, and our engineers review pulling plans, splice schedules and closure layouts free of charge before dispatch. Typical lead time is two to three weeks for standard builds and four to five weeks for span-engineered or OEM-branded orders, with photos and loading records sent before every container leaves the factory.

Yes. Huifiber supplies cable under the buyer's own brand as well as under the Huifiber brand. Fibre count, jacket material, jacket print, drum marking, drum length, packaging and datasheet layout can all be produced to the customer's requirement, and the engineering team can work from a customer specification or adapt an existing construction to a new route requirement.
Every production batch is tested before it leaves the plant in Dongguan. Attenuation and geometry are measured on OTDR and optical bench equipment, and mechanical performance is verified against the datasheet for the construction. A factory test report is issued with each shipment, so an incoming inspection can be checked against the same numbers.
Send the fibre count and fibre type, the jacket material or fire rating, the route length or span and the drum length you need, the destination port or country, and any certification or test-report requirement. With those details the sales engineer can confirm the construction and return a quotation with an indicative lead time.
