  • GYFTY86 All-Dielectric Aerial Cable with Aramid Yarn Strength Member

The GYFTY86 cable uses physical and chemical design against rodents, ants and birds: 250 µm fibers sit in PBT loose tubes filled with fiber gel, stranded around a non-metallic central strength member with water-blocking gel in the interstices.

An inner sheath, a non-metallic FRP armour layer and aramid yarn follow, then the outer sheath (flame-retardant). Because every element is dielectric, the cable is ideal for lightning-prone routes and for power-corridor installations where metal armor is not allowed.

GYFTY86 is the armored, bird-proof sibling of the standard GYFTY non-metallic stranded cable: same stranded core, plus an FRP armour layer for anti-rodent, ant and bird performance. Span-specific tension data is designed per route, following the IEEE 1222 and IEC 60794-1 framework.

Product Features

Non-metallic armour — FRP armor layer resists rodents, ants and birds without any metal in the cable.

Aramid yarn — enhances tensile performance and reduces ice and wind loads on towers and supports.

All-dielectric build — no grounding needed; ideal for lightning-prone areas and power corridors.

AT sheath option — tracking-resistant sheath for lines above 110 kV (span-dependent design).

Light weight, small diameter — reduces tower and support loading versus metal-armored builds.

Fiber protection — PBT tubes filled with fiber gel cushion the fibers through installation and service.

Typical Applications

Indoor and enclosed power-corridor routes where the flame-retardant sheath is mandatory in addition to all-dielectric bird-proofing; tunnels and galleries that combine rodent risk with fire code requirements; and lightning-prone spans that also pass through buildings or galleries.

Selection and ordering

Order by span length, climate class and fire code: the RTS and MADT are engineered per route under IEEE 1222, with the flame-retardant sheath standard. Send the span, weather zone and fire requirements for a matched span sheet and quotation.

Packaging, delivery and support

Cables are supplied on standard wooden reels (2530, 4056 or 610 types) with embossed meter marks every meter and desiccant-packed ends; GYFTY86 reel lengths follow the quotation and can be split to match splice-point spacing. Every reel ships with a factory test report covering attenuation, OTDR traces and geometric checks. As a Dongguan factory with 20,000+ m2 of production space we support OEM and ODM branding, neutral packaging, third-party inspection before loading, and consolidation with the patch cords, splitters and ODF hardware on this site in one container. Sample lengths are available for qualification, and our engineers review pulling plans, splice schedules and closure layouts free of charge before dispatch. Typical lead time is two to three weeks for standard builds and four to five weeks for span-engineered or OEM-branded orders, with photos and loading records sent before every container leaves the factory.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the GYFTY86 All-Dielectric Bird-proof ADSS Cable | Huifiber used for?

GYFTY86 all-dielectric bird-proof cable: FRP armor + aramid yarn, 14.5-18.8 mm builds, AT sheath option for 110 kV lines, IEEE 1222.

Can Huifiber customise the GYFTY86 All-Dielectric Bird-proof ADSS Cable | Huifiber?

Yes. Huifiber supplies cable under the buyer's own brand as well as under the Huifiber brand. Fibre count, jacket material, jacket print, drum marking, drum length, packaging and datasheet layout can all be produced to the customer's requirement, and the engineering team can work from a customer specification or adapt an existing construction to a new route requirement.

How is the GYFTY86 All-Dielectric Bird-proof ADSS Cable | Huifiber tested before shipment?

Every production batch is tested before it leaves the plant in Dongguan. Attenuation and geometry are measured on OTDR and optical bench equipment, and mechanical performance is verified against the datasheet for the construction. A factory test report is issued with each shipment, so an incoming inspection can be checked against the same numbers.

What should I send for a GYFTY86 All-Dielectric Bird-proof ADSS Cable | Huifiber quotation?

Send the fibre count and fibre type, the jacket material or fire rating, the route length or span and the drum length you need, the destination port or country, and any certification or test-report requirement. With those details the sales engineer can confirm the construction and return a quotation with an indicative lead time.
