GYTA / GYTS

  • GYXTS Steel Tape Armoured Duct Cable with Phosphated Wire Layer

The GYXTS outdoor fiber optic cable is a central loose tube design: 250 µm single-mode or multimode fibers are housed in a high-modulus loose tube filled with a water-blocking jelly compound.

The loose tube is longitudinally wrapped with a layer of phosphated steel wire armor, followed by a double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) armor, and finally extruded with a black polyethylene (PE) outer sheath. The steel wires carry the tensile loads during pulling; the PSP layer adds lateral crush resistance and rodent protection.

GYXTS keeps the same compact central-tube core as GYXTY and adds the PSP steel tape layer under the sheath — one more armor layer for duct and direct-buried routes that need extra lateral protection. The cable complies with the YD/T 769-2010 telecommunications industry standard.

Product Features

Tensile resistance — fine phosphated steel wires around the tube carry high pulling loads on duct and buried pulls.

Crush and rodent protection — the double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) resists lateral crush loads and rodent attack.

Hydrolysis resistance — high-strength loose tube material keeps its mechanical margin in damp environments.

Fiber protection — tube filling jelly cushions the fibers and blocks longitudinal water ingress.

Compact core — central tube construction keeps the cable small and easy to pull through occupied ducts.

PE sheath — black polyethylene for outdoor service; flame-retardant or LSZH sheath available on request.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the GYXTS Steel Tape Armored Outdoor Fiber Optic Cable used for?

GYXTS outdoor cable: central loose tube with phosphated steel wire and PSP steel tape armor. 4-24 fibers, 7.8 mm, 1500/3000 N, 15D/30D, YD/T 769-2010.

Can Huifiber customise the GYXTS Steel Tape Armored Outdoor Fiber Optic Cable?

Yes. Huifiber supplies cable under the buyer's own brand as well as under the Huifiber brand. Fibre count, jacket material, jacket print, drum marking, drum length, packaging and datasheet layout can all be produced to the customer's requirement, and the engineering team can work from a customer specification or adapt an existing construction to a new route requirement.

How is the GYXTS Steel Tape Armored Outdoor Fiber Optic Cable tested before shipment?

Every production batch is tested before it leaves the plant in Dongguan. Attenuation and geometry are measured on OTDR and optical bench equipment, and mechanical performance is verified against the datasheet for the construction. A factory test report is issued with each shipment, so an incoming inspection can be checked against the same numbers.

What should I send for a GYXTS Steel Tape Armored Outdoor Fiber Optic Cable quotation?

Send the fibre count and fibre type, the jacket material or fire rating, the route length or span and the drum length you need, the destination port or country, and any certification or test-report requirement. With those details the sales engineer can confirm the construction and return a quotation with an indicative lead time.
